WACC has added a second-year Health Occupations program in which students will be enrolled in two dual enrolled courses and will attend a rotation of clinical sites three days a week. The two dual enrolled courses are Medical Terminology and Diet and Nutrition, and will be taught by WACC instructor Julia Berhow. The clinical sites will be arranged by Ms. Berhow, and will provide students with extraordinary first-hand experiences in a variety of medical fields. Ms. Berhow has taught Health Occupations I at WACC for the past two years.
Due to the transition of Ms. Berhow to Health Occupations II, we have hired a new instructor, Maggie Wike to teach Health Occupations I. Maggie is a certified RN, has experience as a home health care nurse as well as a school nurse, and has been actively involved in coaching area youth for the past 15 years. We are very happy to have Maggie on-board. We are confident that Maggie will provide her students with the knowledge and skills they will need to successfully complete the CNA exam in the spring.
Welcome Maggie to the WACC team!!!
