Criminal Justice Wall of Honor

In celebration of Whiteside Area Career Center’s 50th Anniversary, the Criminal Justice Department wants to honor the past criminal justice students who have entered into a career in the Criminal Justice field or associated fields such as: Police Officer, Deputy, Trooper, Detective, DNR Officers, Forensic Science Tech/Investigator, Probation Officer, Parole Officer, Correctional Officer, Paralegal, Attorney, DCFS/LSSI counselor, Firefighter, Fire Marshall Investigator, and military members.

Bruce Luther, who is the Criminal Justice Instructor at Whiteside Area Career Center (WACC) is creating a Wall of Honor for those individuals.  The wall will be located in the criminal justice classroom.  Mr. Luther would like to have a 5 x 7 photo of the past student in uniform or appropriate attire, a logo or shoulder patch of the organization they are a member of and their name, name of the department they are now with, how long they have been with the department and  the year they attended WACC Criminal Justice Class. This will be a continuous endeavor as to honor our local alumni who are proudly serving our communities and our country.

Please contact Mr. Luther at 815-626-5810 Ext: 212 (Week days in April to May 26th) 7:30 am to 8 am & 2:15 pm to 3:30 pm) or e-mail: if you have any questions.  If you are one of our honored students, send the information, photo and patch/logo to Whiteside Area Career Center, ATTN: Bruce Luther, 1608 5th Ave, Sterling, IL 61081.

Help us celebrate WACC and 50 years of providing real life skills to our local youth so they can be successful members of our communities.
